LEDApple Fansigning in Seoul 120225

So we got to the bookstore with about an hour to spare and decided to get a coffee while we waited and it was around that time when i started to freak out…which means it was probably bad to drink coffee but whatevs. they hung up the biggest LEDApple sign in the world and I started noticing fangirls that i’d seen at every other thing I’d been to, and then I noticed the two staff members who are always counting us off at Iinkigayo and telling us what’s going on. We moved over towards the table they were going to be sitting at and I saw Hyoseok’s dad!! He had a big video camera loll, wow. Bek and I joked around about how it’s just like when your parents come to embarrass you at something with a camera lolll.

We went to where all the other fans were waiting on these stairs right in front of the table, and got organized. We were about halfway up the stairs. So we were just sitting there for a while and then all of a sudden they appeared, just popped out in front of us and went to the table. They were waving and making hearts and waving some more oh it was so cute. And then they sat down and they started taking fans one row at a time. It was great we were so far up actually because we got to sit there and watch them for a long time before it was our turn.

And since they were all signing albums, there were times when some members didn’t have anyone in front of them and then they’d always interact with the rest of us waiting, you could wave at them and they would look DIRECTLY AT YOU and wave back or do aegyo or point or do the “you u u u~” dance move X’D Keonu kept getting up and pointing at ppl or doing the “I’m watching you” finger point X’D umg. And the fans were able to talk with them for quite a long time and they were writing a lot it was awesome~

Sometimes the fans gave them toys, there was one that looked like an ice cream cone but you could push a button and launch the top ball off….so of course as soon as kyumin gets it he pops Keonu in the face X’D and then laughed like crazy X’D Then Keonu took it and completely straight faced, popped Kwangyeon in the face with it. They were all so impossibly cute. And they were all doing aegyo~~ Unfortuntely since Hanbyul was first he didn’t have a lot of time to look up and interact but he did a few times~ It’s probably because he talks so much that the others had so much free timeㅋㅋ which is perfectly fine~

Keonu…he doesn’t smile a lot right, he always seems very serious but a lot of times the fans would say something or do something and he’d start laughing and it was the cutest thing… ahh i love him the most X’D

Hyoseok on the end kept…like having a war with the fans or something, he was acting out firing at them with a rifle and then throwing grenades and i don’t even know…X’D The fans kept asking Kyumin to do that weird salute thing he does, I feel like I saw him do it 2059345 times. and Kwangyeon kept making hearts and pointing at people and/or just being incredibly cute in general.

Even Youngjun was doing aegyo which I feel like I’ve -never- seen X’D wow

At one point, Hyoseok got up and walked off to the side where we couldn’t see and the girls over there started jumping up and down and he came back and looked at all of us and yelled: “It’s my dad!! my dad!” all defensively lmao

Ahh I couldn’t even handle sitting there watching them X’D they were soo cute.

Finally it was our turn to go up and i gave my camera to Bek because I couldn’t really function enough to use it myself D;

While we were waiting next to the table, Keonu wasn’t busy and he was looking around and then he looked directly at me, so i waved and he waved back~~ㅋㅋ Actually Bek got a picture when he looked over right before the wave X3

They’d had us write our name on a sticky note and stick it inside the album so they could see it…actually that was a great idea, i think it saved a lot of timeㅋ

Hanbyul was first~ (I asked Bek if she could take a picture of me when i got up there X’D it’s the back of my head but ah well…)

As soon as i walked up to him at the table he seemed to recognize me X’D he immediately started talking in english, so i take that as a pretty good sign that he actually recognized me a bit lulz. He pointed as i walked up and was like:

“Oh hey~!” lolll and then: “I’ve seen you at a lot of things!”

To which i just thought, ‘oh god’ lolll >.< And i wondered if really had recognized me or just thought he did but then: HB: Yeah you were at WaveK right? Me: O__O yeah i was! XD (OH. ok. I knew he was waving at me that dayㅋㅋㅋ there wasn’t anyone in front of me waving ㅋㅋㅋㅋ) And i handed him the album and he asked “What’s your name again?” and I told him “Michelle~” Then: Me: I brought my australian friend! *points behind me at Bek* HB: *looks up* oh she’s from australia? Me: Yeah! she’s really excited to meet you! HB: Oh and she likes us? Me: Yeah I made her ㅋㅋ (i should have said I turned her lulz) And then I can’t really remember the order of the conversation, he talks A LOT. lmao but he asked where I was from and I said california and then he went on: HB: You look like a hollywood actress actually Me: …really? ㄱ.ㄱ HB: Yeah, I can’t think of what she was in…she’s really beautiful! (oh really, is that so X’D) Me: oh…huh HB: I think she was/is married to Tom Cruise? (did he just tell me i look like katie holmes lmao) Me: Actually… you know you look like a singer too…. (I don’t know why I’m inspired to mess with him so much maybe because i can do it in english and it’s so easy) HB: Oh really? in america? Me: …no no…in korea (at this point I’m thinking, oh he doesn’t get what i mean does he….) HB: ah… (he was writing so that might have been why he didn’t realize i was trolling him lmao) Me: Yeah he’s quite good actually HB: Oh really? Me: ….yeah ….by the way I mean you. ㄱ.ㄱ HB: *he looked up and then hung his head like: OH. I GET IT NOW) OH…. Me: Yeah, you look like yourself. ㅎㅎㅎㅎ And he asked me what I was doing in korea and I told him i was teaching english and he asked how i got interested in korea and I told him my mom is korean and he seemed surprised and asked if I could speak korean and i told him my listening was better than speaking, he asked how long I would be in korea and I told him til August….he asked A LOT OF QUESTIONS. HE TALKS SO MUCH lolll and he would always repeat my answers back in the form of a question l o l but wowww he just talks talks talks talks and it’s not like I was sitting there forever he talks and he talks fast lulz. Next was Kyumin, and I scooted over waving like a crazy and saying helloooo~ and he said:

KM: Hello~ I am english very well

Me: *being incredibly impressed* Oh~ yes you’re very good (lmao)

And i also told him I brought my friend from australia and he looked over and then back and then over again and said; “Oh…they same country!” pointing at Bek and Hanbyul, and I was just laughing and saying “yeah!!” X’D

And it was about this time I noticed Bek and Hanbyul having the time of their lives or something lmao. He was sooo excited to hear she was from his town and they were talking about this area and that store and “omg i live 500 meters from there” and this and that lollll it was so funny/cute.

So I told bek, “OH give me the camera I’ll take a picture of you guys~~~” and so i did, and so the pic of two aussies at the LEDApple fansigning came into being lulz.

So then I looked back to Kyumin and I asked him if there were a lot of foreign fans and he thought about it for a while and answered…”no…” X’D

I think i asked him for a high five at the end i’m not sure…>.< I feel like I haven’t quite figured out how to talk to Kyumin yet loll, i always feel a bit awkward and then I stopped to take a pic for Bek and Hanbyul and yeah…poor Kyuminㅋ but at least he ventured actually speaking in English this timeㅋㅋㅋㅋ He wasn’t so much a deer in the headlights like last time. Then KEONU~ <3 Me: Hello~~ n______n KU: Hi~ My english is not very good Me: Oh no! You’re english is really good! (this time i really truly meant it, i think he’s the second best after Hanbyul tbh) Then he started writing and I kind of awkwardly looked at him and then said: Me: you know…I like you the most n_________n KU: Oh really? (he looked a little surprised loll, poor thing) Me: Yeah I do~ And then, oh Keonu loll, he always asks random questions in perfect english that throw me off KU: How old are you? (apparently he was asking all the fans this…at least he asked the three of us, jess was saying maybe it’s because he wanted to know how to address the signature) Me: ….ㄱuㄱ how old do you -think- I am? (lollll i totally side eyed him) KU: uh…younger than me? (ㅋㅋㅋㅋ) Me: …XD no. no…. KU: mmm 25? Me: :O oh uhm. In america, 24 (holy crap he got it spot on, 25 in korea) and then he tried writing in english on the album he got as far as: “Thanks for come …” and then he looked at me like ‘uhh help?’ Me: —to see us? lolll so then he finished it: “…to see us Michelle” ㅋㅋㅋㅋ oh it was so cute And then i stuck both my hands up for a high tenㅋㅋ(Jess caught a pic of this moment X3)

and he said:

KU: Oh, but my hands are cold

And I could feel them when we high fived, he was right lulz, SO THEN:

Me: Oh, let me warm them for you~ (and i grabbed his hands in mine and held them together X’DDDDDDD)

So I moved on from Keonu to Kwangyeon just laughinggg loll oh dear. So then with Kwangyeon:

KY: HELLO. (And i think he also said something about not being good at english and i waved him offㅋㅋ)

Me: Yeah~

KY: Oh!! On twitter! Uh…Uhm… twitter…mention! I saw (and he kinda floundered through more words like that and arm gestures lolll)

Me: Oh! Uh…Oh…..so then why did you never answer me? ㄱ.ㄱ

KY: OH..UH..*more floundering lmao it was so cute* I AM VERY BUSY, VERY BUSY (and he was kinda back and forth writing at this time)

Me: Oh ok~ ㄱ.ㄱ (lolll) you must be very tired

KY: eh?

Me: Are you very tired?

KY: NO I’M NOT TIRED! 8D I AM SAENG SAENG SAENG!! (And he did this weird chair shuffle dance lolllll omg it was so cute X’D I can’t, even Keonu looked over and was laughing at him lmao)

“Saeng saeng saeng” is like “fresh fresh fresh” ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ omg so cute.

And he concentrated very hard on writing “Thank you” but when he got to the “n” he wrote “h” and then was just like:

“Oh nooo~! not ay-chi” X’D

So then i left Kwangyeon and moved onto Youngjun and I was laughing again X’D

Me: California!

And i think i weakly asked him if he’d ever been to America and then i switched it up to:

Me: You should come to california! I can give you a tour!!

YJ: Oh really?

YJ: Who is the best member? Uh…who…(and he kept trying to ask the question while i was sitting there grinning up at him and he ended up shaking his head in frustration so i jumped in)

Me: That I like? The best member?

YJ: Oh! yes!

Me: …..ㄱuㄱ (And i’m debating in my head what to do while i was slyly side-eyeing him cause i definitely told Keonu I liked him the most and I do, but I also love Youngjun….so I was just looking at him and then..) I really like you a lot~ ㄱuㄱ

YJ: OH THANK YOU!!! YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!! GORGEOUS! (LMAO, I was laughing so much that day)

While i was talking to Youngjun I looked over at Hyoseok who was the last one and whoever was before me must have left bc he wasn’t occupied and i saw him turned to the side a bit looking at the ground and he was saying:

“HELLO MY NAME IS HYOSEOK.” LOLLL he was practicing!!! X’D Loudly practicing lmao he’s so cute!!! and hilarious!! umg.

So I moved on to him and said:

Me: Hello~!!

HS: HELLO! MY NAME IS HYOSEOK!! (X’D)

Me: OH HELLO.

HS: YOU ARE FROM AMERICA?

Me: Yes!

HS: OH I AM FROM KOREA!!

Me: OH WOW!! NO WAY!

HS: YES! YOU’RE NAME IS…

Me: Michelle~!

HS: …OH! (and there was a pile of candy next to him on the table and he started fishing through it but then gave up) Like the chocolate?

Me: ….eh?

HS: NO, SORRY. (lmaooo he’s just like my students, I just kinda laughed at him X’D)

He’d finished writing his name and was staring at the album and then he wrote “Hello. ~” and stared at it a bit more before deciding, with conviction and finality to add:

“Drum.” lollll omg he’s so cute X’D

And then to hand it back to me, since he was at the end he stood up as I stood up and gave me the album and went for a handshake very respectfully lolll, it was perfect.

HS: THANK YOU~ BYE~~

Afterwards we thought about it and thought maybe he was talking about that chocolate fererro rocher? cause it kind of has the same sound in it as michelle? idek loll

And then I walked away in a daze X’D umg. And stood around just kinda flailing on my own, waiting for the others to get through X3 I was just so overwhelmed with how awesomely all of that had gone X’D I’d been so worried about what I was gonna say bc i had really no idea but i just kinda went with it and it was beautiful X3 And even after last time, feeling all bad for being sassy to Hanbyul lulz, this time i kinda messed with all of them lmao, and it was perfect, i’ll always be that way to them X’D

THE NEXT DAY~

Then the next day we went to their recording for Inkigayo~ It must be for next week’s show? The recording was after that day’s Inki finished so while we were waiting outside all the idols in their vans were leaving, but most of them didn’t roll down their windows right where we were so who knows who was in what van, and then Se7en came and he had his window rolled down and was waving at everyone X3 He’s so nice!!! He did that last time i was there too and he even pulled over and talked to fans and accepted gifts they gave him through the van window loll

Bek had just been saying that no one ever sits in the front seat of their van, but Seven was and IU had been last week. And then we were talking about how it’d be awesome if we could see Miss A and THEN their van left and they had their windows down and OH HEY. JIA’S sitting in the front seat! lolll, and min was in the back seat and they were waving at everyone~!! We couldn’t see Fei or Suzy though because they weren’t by the windows but Jess says she saw Suzy stick her head out from behind Min X3 And they stopped for the red light and apparently Min was giving out chupa chups to fans from the window X’D wow

Anyway right after that it was finally our turn to go in~

We walked in and got to see K.Will finishing his song X33 Oh his voice is so good, he’s amazing and I’m glad we got to come in and see him for a bit~ Then it was LEDApple’s turn~

They came out and they all had on these white jackets that were very similar to their “Someone met by chance” jackets they even had a lot of the same looking bangles and things on them, ah they looked so good! They did “Time is up” twice, first for a mic check and then for the recording, at the end of the mic check, Hyoseok was doing his cool drumstick spinning move and actually dropped/threw his drumstick across the stage X’D oops~ he looked a bit sheepish lolll

And has Kwangyeon ALWAYS done those little drama moves in the background?? Where he slowly brings his hand down in front of his face and then extends both arms to the side and up….idk but i felt like it was the first time i was seeing it X’D ugh they’re so cuuuute there aren’t any other words to describe them lmao They were amazing, they looked great, sounded great, everything~

After they finished we went out side and stalked around by the driveway with the other fans…even though it was really cold @__@ they took a long while but we saw brave girls drive away and then BAP came out in all their blondness and piled into a van and drove away…which was nice bc then all their fans left too and that made everything…quieter loll. Then we started to see glimpses of appurrs!! Kyumin was so easy to spot ofc, tall magenta hair, easy~ The fans were yell-talking to them, this one girl was like “NOONA IS SO COLD!!!” lolll There was a point where Kyumin stood out where we could see him and just waved his arms in the air back and forth like one of those inflatable balloon man things XD And Hyoseok kept popping out and waving as well and one by one they were all there and waving and then they got into the van….EXCEPT HANBYUL. and drove away, they rolled their windows down too and waved at usㅋㅋㅋ brave girls and BAP did not ㄱ.ㄱ

But Hanbyul didn’t go with them! He was still in the parking lot and then he started WALKING OUT. He walked out of the parking lot and started just walking down the street X’D And he was just in a jacket, jeans and backpack haha, the fans followed him of course and we followed a bit farther back cause we didn’t want to be THAT creepy haha. (Whatever, we had to go that way anyway to get to the subway) Even the FT Island fangirls were following him and telling him he was so handsome etc haha. It’s always hard to tell exactly how tall they are because they’re always standing with each other and they look so skinny and little but when he was walking down the street with all the fangirls you could really see how tall he was compared to them haha

So we were watching him walking and talking at/with the fangirls and then all of a sudden he started running LOL. I wonder what caused him to do that, but it was hilarious and gave me beatles vibes hahaha. And he just went into this little restaurant right next to the sbs building to meet up with all these older korean men…i really wonder what was going on it seemed like a kind of business dinner or something. The small mob of fans stopped right outside the restaurant and were just kinda watching him loll, he kept looking out and making faces i think. Anyway we felt weird standing there so we kept going AND I’M SO GLAD WE DID because as we got closer to the subway we saw LEDApple’s van again! And Kyumin had just jumped out and was half talking to the fans who happened to be there, I think everyone was going to the subway so seeing them there was so random. And Kyumin is so obvious. He jumped out and it was like: BRIGHT FIREY HAIR.

Jess got really excited and ran up kinda jumping up and down and Kyumin saw her and started jumping up and down and cheering too lmaooo it was so cute!! I still laugh when I think about it XD And then he got into this other car, i wonder if it was his parents or what, but the others were still in the van and they had the windows down and were talking to the fans so we ran up to them too. Hyoseok was in the front seat and behind him was Youngjun and next to Youngjun was Keonu and I assume Kwangyeon was in the back back but we couldn’t see him. Jess was in front of me with her LEDApple signㅋ and I went up and put my head on her shoulder and i saw Keonu point at us (pretty sure he did) and then I waved and he said “Hi~!” lolll yessss we’re the english speaking fans X’D Then Jess was like: “Are you cold?” And he said: “I’m not cold” lolll yes, he was sitting in the car, i’m sure he was fine X’D She said later that it was the first thing to pop up in her head so… XD I understand completely.

And i was just standing there grinning and waving and Keonu and Youngjun waved back n_________n eeee~ they totally recognize us now lmao. Anyway then they had to leave so the van started creeping away and we all stood back and just waved and waved so much waving. it was right at the entrance to the subway, we were literally standing next to the escalators into the subway waving at them XD And behind the van went the car with Kyumin hanging out the back window waving loll, ugh. waiting around for them was worth it X’D

Got to see Hanbyul stroll right out of the SBS building and then run away from fans and then Kyumin jumping around in the street and the rest of appurrs hanging out in their van X3

BEST WEEKEND~ once again~ i love appurrs, for life yo~ fan for life~

So much laughing with/at them, ah…I love them~

anyway I have to keep going to things so they don’t forget my faceㅋㅋㅋㅋ

But they’re done promoting their song!! D: hope they come back IMMEDIATELY loll, is that asking for too much?

Such a LEDApple Weekend~♥

So the first time I finally saw LEDApple live and all together was their performance in Lotte World last Saturday (120211)

They came on first and did Time is Up and were basically awesome. We were in the third row and next to the aisle so we had a CLEAR SHOT of themㅋ After that song they talked with the MC for a bit and Jess had this amazing LEDApple sign that was clearly visable from the stage and Hanbyul looked over and saw it and totally waved at us!!!

From that moment on I decided I was a fan for life X'D And in MY opinion, they were all looking at the sign, they all loved it i'm sure. Kwangyeon kept looking over at it I'm SURE...Jess is less sure lolll but that's my story and I'm sticking with it. He kept pointing at the sign with his bass but he would also scan the whole crowd with it so...no he was totally pointing at the sign, he kept coming back to it haha~~

It was a concert with a lot of other artists at it, so I don't know how many LEDApple fans were actually there. Jess' sign was so obviously for them and we were close enough they could easily see it, so I'm so glad everything went the way it did X33

The next day we tried to get into inkigayo with the other LEDA's but we were about 10 people too late D; But while we were waiting Youngjun tweeted a pic of them inside the building making these little packs of chocolate for valentine's dayㅋㅋ

he said they were making them for us~ and then a bit later, a staff member brought them out and we all got chocolate from them ;~~~; it was so cute and sweet and I reaffirmed my "fan for life" decision.

The activity cards we got had the cutest little stamps on themㅋㅋㅋ so cute, ugh i just loved everything about the ledapple weekend (minus the not getting into inkigayo thing)

it says "I heart LEDA"ㅋㅋㅋㅋ sooo cute~ (LEDA is the name of the fanclub)

anyway we were going to go to the mini fanmeeting they were holding after inkigayo anyway so we hung out in a cafe next to the sbs building and sadly watched inkigayo on tv ㅠ.ㅠ

We were sitting on the steps in this random PARK. and they showed up and stood in front of us with little mini megaphonesㅋ they were so cute and funny ㅋㅋㅋ it was awesome~

EXCEPT for the one girl RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME who had a sign and kept holding it up/waving it around, so i couldn't really see them all at once =ㅅ= but still. some of the things they talked about:

The fanchant, they were commenting on how the fans either -were- saying them more aggressively than they thought or -should- be from now on, i can't rememberㅋ but they demonstrated lolll, first they did it "time's up UP UP" kinda high-pitched and weak and then again "time's up UP UP" really loud, scary almost like an orc from lord of the rings or something X'D And then the next part "You u u u u~" they did it the same way, all scary lollll so idk if they were commending the fans on being that way or asking us to BE like that. I think Youngjun also said he'd always wanted to get a group of fans all headbanging at the same time, so they said we should do the actions along with the words, so headbanging to "UP UP" and then the spirit fingers (lmao) for the "you u u u u" partㅋ

Kyumin kept stepping out and criticizing us for being more like reporters than fans bc everyone, EVERYONE had a camera loll.

At one point a mother daughter pair was pointed out and Hanbyul asked which one was the fanㅋㅋ and Hyoseok said: "They're both fans of course!!" and then the two of them started jumping around in celebration loll. They asked them who they were a fan of and they both said Kwangyeon apparently, so he said hi to them and then said "아싸~" and did a little dance lolll i want to do the "assa~" dance to celebrate any and everything from now on X'DD And then he started trying to shuffle dance which...sorta worked loll

They pulled numbers out of a box for prizes which happened to be signed polaroids D; one was of Keonu and Kyumin and ugghhhh i really wanted that one but i'm pretty sure that girlll with her SIGN right in front of me won it >O

Kyumin was reallly cruel when he read out his number, he was last. and the way he read it, (it makes more sense in korean but-) Two--------enty------seven-----------next. AKA 28.

The fans were all crying at him and he was like: It's more fun this way :D

...no. lolll that's so mean X'D

At the same time, Chaos? some other group was having a fanmeeting on the other side of the park haha, and they must have finished because they came walking by and the two groups were greeting each other and saying hi, and Chaos started a ledapple chant as they went by hahaa, then ledapple started singing their song X'D "see you later!" etc. Other than that, at random points regular ppl using the park would walk by and they'd kinda shift out of the way for them loll, oh ledapple....still so unknownㅋ

They also announced they're gonna have their own show soon!!! on mtv~ Called "LED" sooooo i'm excited to actually SEE THEM in something X3 Also apparently Hanbyul said he was gonna be hosting mnet? :O they're gonna start becoming relevant soon and idk if i'll be able to see them again like this D: But...that's good anyway.

While we were waiting i saw some girl must have asked Kyumin to do his hand swipe move from the dance for her cause he did it right there in front of her and everyone died a little bit inside for not thinking of asking him to do it first lolll....damnit. whatever, i had my own issues with him X'D

FIRST, Kyumin~ (AKA 188cm Oppar)

So I wasn't going to ask for hugs or anything until i got to the end where Hanbyul was cause i figured it would be less awkward since he knew english lolll BUT. the girl in front of me got a hug from Kyumin....and i was looking directly at him when he hugged her and I'm pretty sure my face was kinda like :O so I think he could tell what was coming lolll. But i think i scared him poor thing, I went up and immediately was like: "HELLO. I'M FROM AMERICA~ I LOVE YOU!" While shaking his hand, and he was kind of like..."Oh...hello!" but I think english still baffles him a bit, so I was like; "Can i have a hug too?" And he I think...maybe said hug in Korean back to me loll, there was a moment of confusion, but I made the hug motion a couple times and he was like "ok~" and although he was being very delicate with the hug I didn't let him get away with that and kinda squished him and even beat his back a bit X'D and afterwards I told him he was really cool and I liked his hair lolll i think he was still...a bit out of it ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ poor thing.

Anyway, next was Youngjun (AKA Guitarist) and he actually really impressed me in person :O I did the whole "Hello~ I'm from America~ n___n" thing and he said "oh, hello~ nice to meet you" and i told him "you are very cool~" and he said: "Oh thank you~ You are very pretty~" ........ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ so I told him: "oh~~ thanks, you too~ ;D" and there were laughs all around X'D I can see why he's the leader, he struck me as very calm, cool, collectedㅋ and especially after Kyumin he was not thrown by my english so that was impressive hahaa. Also i was kinda out of it when i shook Kyumin's hand but I'd kinda collected myself by the time i got to Youngjun and so i noticed they all had hand warmers and his hand was nice and warm and awesome. Also i really liked his scarf + leather jacket combo. OVERALL I WAS IMPRESSED BY YOUNGJUN.

NEXT. Kwangyeon. (AKA Bassist) umg this kid is so cute lolll. I said: "Hello I'm from America~" and he said: OH HELLO. NICE TO MEET YOU. "Nice to meet you too! n___n" IT IS VERY COLD. "yeah! It is really cold D:" and then i told him they were really awesome and he said THANK YOU~ lmao. he's so cute I can't.

next~~ KEONU ;~~~~~~~~~~; (AKA DJ/Keyboardist) wow. he's just so cool. he just looks sooo cool. too cool for school man. (Rikki was right lolll) BUT when we were going through he was wearing these awesome sunglasses so 1. he looked even more cool. but 2. we couldn't see his eyes D; So I said: "Hi~ I'm from America~ nice to meet you~~" and actually he surprised me bc he asked me : "Are you Korean?" so I told him, "I'm half~" and i asked him if i could have a hug and then i squished him too~ then i told him his sunglasses were really coolㅋㅋ and I just...ugh he was so cool. LOL that's all I can say about him. also his ears....they're so big X'D and he's SO TALL. THEY'RE ALL SO TALL. ok ok...ok

Next~ Hyoseok~!! (AKA Drummer) Hyoseok was so funnyㅋㅋ He bowed and said "Annyeonghasaeyo~" to me first and then I told him I was from America and he was like: "OH I DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH WELL." and I told him "Oh! You sound great!" and he motioned to Hanbyul, the last in line and said: "HE SPEAKS ENGLISH VERY WELL" l o l But the whole time, or almost the whole time he was still shaking my hand lolll like, the others it was a handshake and then they'd let go and i'd talk to them for a bit but Hyoseok wouldn't let go of my hand, so i was standing there shaking his hand for idk...30 seconds or something X'D and the girl ahead of me was still talking to Hanbyul, so I was asking Hyoseok about the pirate mask he was holding...(i don't even know, lolol a fan maybe gave it to him) and he held it up over his face loll.

Last. Hanbyul (AKA: JASON JANG) ㅋ he'd looked over when Hyoseok motioned at him, so he started off greeting me in English not Korean, in his beautiful Australian accentㅋ

HB: Hey, How are you~

Me: Great~ So, my friend told me Australians give really good hugs...is that true?

HB: (and here he actually kinda looked surprised for a second) Oh! Uh, ok haha~

And he gave me a hug BUT he never really answered the question...i suppose that was his answer? or i was supposed to decide for myself? idk.

HB: So where are you from?

Me: California

HB: California? Oh I have a cousin in Chicago

Me: Oh? Yeah..they're not really close (WHY DID I SAY THAT. WHYYY DID I SAY THAT, WHY WAS I BEING MEAN TO JASON JANG ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ)

but by then things were kinda moving along, so I was about to go and he reached out again for a handshake and asked

but i still kick myself for that, why did i say that D; ughhhh why. i was doing so well and then the end ㅠ.ㅠ I would say i hope he won't remember me but at the same time i hope he remembers me lolll ah well...

Jess says when she got to him the first thing he asked her was "are you Japanese?" but he asked in English lolll so..yeah, and apparently when she told him she was from California he pointed at me and said: "oh the same place as her?" SO he remembered me for at least 30 seconds lmao.

SIGH. it was awesome though....overall 8D Best day~ Well it would have been better if we'd gotten into Inkigayo but still...NEXT WEEK.

when they left they all piled into their van and were leaning out the doors/windows/sunroof waving at us. Hyoseok kept poking his head out of the sunroof loll it was so cute. Their manager had a video camera and seemed to be filming for their show that's coming up....eeee what if we're in itㅋ

2PM NEPA Fansign in Cheongju~!!

Warning: Do not read this if you don't want to read fangirling XD YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.


So i ran out of my school a few minutes before 3 and was there at 3:10 (I vastly overestimated how long it would take to get there from my school, but maybe because I luckily caught a cab right away)

I called the nepa guy and he told me “ok, now come back at 3:30” and just as I was about to go sit somewhere and pull myself together, I hear “Teacher!!”

and I turn around like:

and it’s one of my students! 헐ㄹㄹ loll, she had a ticket to get in so i asked her who she wanted to see and she said Junsuㅋㅋㅋ cute. there were a LOT of girls there in their school uniforms….obviously cutting school ….like me tbh l o l but at least i was finished with all my classes >.>

so I took a pic with my student ㅋㅋ

and then sat around waiting for 3:30. More and more ppl kept coming, running up trying to peak in, trying to figure out if they were there yet or not loll. So by the time the nepa guy calls me again there’s a sizeable mob in front of the nepa store. And this guy just says: “Ok…uhm. come in the store now.”

………ok, i’m coming? wtf, do i need to force my way through the crowd? ㅠㅠㅠ I go to the edge and there’s a security guy there and so I lamely say: “uhm. i need to get into the store” [all in korean, speaking in english wouldn’t have helped] but he just says: “Oh are you one of the fb winners? ok, go ahead”

….really.

so I climb over the barrier and dash in, ㅋㅋ all the other ppl had to wait outside bahaha. I get inside and get to the others, there are 6 of us total, 2 for each member and i’m so glad when I notice that they are NOT middle school or high school girls XD They’re at LEAST college age if not older. We FB event winners get to sit inside the nice Nepa store drinking orange juice while all the fans outside are trying to peer into the storeㅋㅋ

They gave us nepa hats for the signing, and told us we would have to just get our signature and then leave. bah. the other girls were asking if we could take pics or anything but no that would be “difficult” Anyway we were told we’re going to go first and get our hats signed and then the regular fansigning will start~

The front of the store was all glass windows and they had the big red/white nepa backdrop they’re always sitting in front of for fansignings set up in front of it. we were sitting behind that, off to the side a bit.

Then they tell us that 2pm’s almost here and they’re gonna walk in and go directly upstairs for a bit before the fansign. I have the best seat ‘cause i got in last so I’m sitting on the edge next to the stairsㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ and i can see the entrance clearly so i’ll basically see them the moment they step into the store~

While the 6 of us are sitting there, we start to hear screams from outside so we’re all now tense and wide-eyed. And I see the front of a black van pull up to the front doors….

And then the screaming gets MORE intense somehow and all of a sudden CHANSUNG strolls in in his bright yellow/blue jacket looking amazing and fresh and tall and beautiful and heads straight for the stairs. He glances over at us all sitting there quietly ….we probably look like this: O_________________O and kinda looks a bit shocked but keeps going upstairs.

Then more screaaamms and in walks JUNSU in navy, he’s kinda looking down brushing his hair down with his fingers and then he looks up as he gets closer to the stairs and also seems a bit shocked to see us lmao. except it was more obvious with him cause his droopy panda eyes got all big for a second and then he ran up the stairs too.

And then MORE SCREAMS and ~in. walks. Ok. Taecyeon.~ all in black, striding along, and he also glances at us, seems a bit surprised, though less so than the other two, and trots up the stairs.

loll I dunno why they seemed surprised. Maybe the contrast between the 6 of us sitting there staring silently and the crazy screaming middle schoolers outside was shocking? Or maybe they knew we’d be there and were just curious idek. or maybe the girls next to me were making weird faces who knows, I wasn’t looking at them.

In any case, as soon as he’s out of sight the 6 of us all look at each other like: O___O umg.

We’re told that 2pm will come back down in about 10 mins after getting ready and “makeup” and all of us were just kinda like: “wtf do they need makeup for ㄱ.ㄱ”

And as we’re waiting there, the other girls next to me were talking “오 떨려, 어떻게” [Oh, I’m nervous, what to do?] omgg. it was so true, i felt like i was having a heart attack wow. They walked right by us, maybe 3 feet from where we were. I dunno how often the other girls got to see them but for me it was SURREAL. Up until that point, that was the closest i’d ever been to them O____O

A little while later we hear all this thudding coming down the stairs and after a manager and some coordi’s appeared, out pops Ok Taecyeon, and he does a little half turn/half bow/grin-smile towards us and says “안녕하세요~” with a little wave, and I remember thinking at the time that it was just soo like him to do that. I wouldn’t say it was “greasy” per say but it was really “Taecyeon”-y, you know, his low gravelly, i-know-that-if-i-say-it-like-this-you’ll-all-melt-but-at-the-same-time-there’s-a-hint-of-troll kinda way.

LOL. what am i talking about, do you guys know what I mean? X’D

So Taec walks over to stand behind the nepa backdrop and Chan rumbles down the stairs next, glances at us, and walks over to stand next to him and then Junsu follows a bit later and joins them. They’re all just kinda chilling behind the backdrop and all the coordis are tugging here and there on their jackets and finger combing their hair, etc loll it was…kinda weird to see it happening in front of us. ChanTaec were having a conversation while ppl pulled on their jackets and hair, completely unfazed lulz. Taec must have said something funny cause Chan starting laughing~ ♥ Junsu was leaning on a coat rack on his phone, I WASN’T SURPRISED AT ALL lmaoo.

We ofc were still sitting there like O_________O I could tell the other girls had their phones out taking pics/vids whatever but my phone is lame and can’t do that. ㅠㅠ and they told us not to take pics so i couldn’t get my camera out D;

So after a while of this happening they walked around the backdrop and did their intro, “hello this is 2pm and here we are in Cheongju at the Sung-an store~ blah-di-blah, this has been 2pm~” they must have been filming it cause there’s no way the ppl outside could have heard them.

And then the guy told us: “Ok, go!” Just like that, so we all got up, and I didn’t want to be the first one to walk around the backdrop so I lingered back a bit behind this other girl….

I remember thinking at the time that I hoped Chan wasn’t in the middle….er I dunno why, but I didn’t want him to be in the middle and he probably wouldn’t be right? he’d definitely be on the end, I knew it in my head…. so of course when we walked around, Chansung was sitting in the middle =ㅅ= Junsu was on the left and Taec was on the right

We all kinda huddled together while the nepa guy explained to them that we won the fb thing and we’d be going first and 2pm just nodded and smiled and then the nepa guy told us to get in three lines, two each, bc we’re here for each member right? so we separated from our comfortable huddle and I’m in the front row, standing in front of Chanana x_x

….and we all just kinda stand there for 2 seconds like deer in headlights staring at them. and then Taec pipes up with a grin on his face: “오세요~” and beckons us forward L O L. [Please come forward~] For my entire life this will probably be my favorite Taec moment ever. I’m so glad he was there to MC us all around lmaooo X’D

So we went up to the table, and as soon as that happened it was like I had blinders on, I wouldn’t be able to tell you who was next to me or what they were saying to the other members if my life depended on it, bc honestly all I could see was bright yellow Chansung in front of me and his big eyes looking at me ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ

I gave him my hat and said hello and then the first thing I said was “전 미국에서 왔어요…” [I’m from America] and he was like, “Where?…Oh really?” and then he asked what my name was which really threw me off for some reason. I dunno why it didn’t occur to me that they would ask our names. DUH. ofc they would. but uh. my name isn’t korean….eff.

“Michelle”

“네? 미….” [what? Mi…]

“Michelle, 미쉘~~”

“…Oh, Michelle??” [lmao, i’ll never forget how he said my name, what an adorable accent X’D You could practically see the light bulb go off in his head when he realized what I was saying lolllll (Trying to type out the accent is pretty impossible. Mee-shelle doesn’t do it justice lmao.)]

“네!”

And then without even batting an eye he started writing it on my hat in English! Which shocked me again, but of course he’d write it in English, how else would he write it? loll, and yet, i was shocked again~

He said every letter out loud as he was writing it, “M-i-c-….” and then he looked up at me and asked: “h…e-l…?” And I jumped in and helped him spell the rest of my name, “h-e-l-l-e~” Which required me to lean in so he could hear me and so I could supervise ofc~ REQUIRED.

And then he signed it and handed it to me~ and I stuck out my hand for a handshake because I was NOT leaving there before i got to at least touch him ;A; But I felt a little bad because he immediately dropped the pen that he was holding to shake my hand ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ and i grabbed him with both hands ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

And somewhere in there I told him he had a lot of foreign fans lmao. wtf. hope i wasn’t rambling.

I remember when he started his “M-i-c…” In my shock all I could think was “omg you beautiful boy ;A;” and being completely amazed that he even knew how to spell that much… And his handwriting is so clear and cute! ㅠㅠㅠㅠ /spaz spaz spaz

We had to leave after getting our signature so clutching my hat I sort of walked/drifted/floated out of the store, but not before looking back at the table like *o*

And that state continued for a long time, I walked around the block in a daze and came back and sat on a curb about 50 ft from the mob in front of nepa and just collected myself X’D watching all the fangirls, occasionally screaming for who knows what reason, maybe one of them waved or smiled or just sneezed or something lollll

And this older lady came out with a signature and was spazzing and I asked her who she got a sign from and she said Taecyeon. Then she told me: “My daughter really likes Wooyoung, but he didn’t come to Cheongju, so I went and bought these pants and got a sign from Taecyeon, I really like Taecyeon~” and she was spazzing so much lmaoooo we spazzed together after I showed her my hat :3

And i took a pic of her signature~

Apparently she did the thing where she went down on her knees and put her arms on the table, and she asked him: “It’s weird if i do this because I’m older right?” but he apparently said: “No, I like it~!”

L O L ofc you do Taec, you and all your ahjumma fans ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ mom’s love Taec it’s so funny.

Then I couldn’t bring myself to leave so I sat there and watched the chaos for a while, and then i eventually walked over and joined the mob to see if i could see anything. Apparently I had good timing because it was just before they finished and were going to leave. I saw one of the girls who’d won the fb event with me, she apparently went TWICE. cause she went to Junsu for the fb hat signing, THEN she’d bought something so she could go to the regular fansigning….for Junsu….again. X’D i love it. I took a pic of her second signature loll

Their van somehow drove up to the front of the store again and they all came out and jumped in~ Taec did a little wave before getting in ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Impromptu game of Scattergories

The computer in a class of second year boys was broken leaving me with not much to do...luckily i'd been planning to try out the game "Scattergories" in class for a while, which meant I was prepared on how to explain it and set it up. Anyway it went over real well once they figured out what they had to do XD

So I put them in teams of about 5 students, and gave them 5 categories and in the first round the letter: S
Which turned out normal, whatever. THEN i started the second round with the categories:
1. Boys Name
2. Something you wear
3. Singer
4. Something that smells bad (THIS WAS A REAL WINNER)
5. TV Show

And gave them the letter H

Best answers were definitely for "Something that smells bad" cause they were having a lot of trouble thinking of something..but for having such a hard time, they had amazing answers at the end. And each team had a different answer XD

Probably funnier still was the way I was counting their points. I figured if i asked each team to read their answers outloud, other teams might be inclined to change their answers if they heard an answer the same as theirs, so instead I asked ONE BOY from each team to bring their paper to the front.

Which started ok, until more of them decided to come up and cram around me and peer over my shoulder at what the answers were XD Which just disintegrated into me being stuck right in the middle of this huge swarm of boys all trying to see what was happening. I kinda felt like i was in the front row at a bare knuckle boxing match or something, and they were all shouting and placing bets. lololol i dunno.

It was great though cause I had this white board marker which was really final when i crossed out answers that were the same so it was quite dramatic LOL

this game is awesome. totally want to use it again in other classes.

In other news, I guess "my husband" isn't feeling "terrible" because "i see you" anymore -___-
Brat. I was walking up the stairs when a wall of 3rd years came walking down and while trying to carve a path through "my husband" decided he was going to sit on the steps RIGHT IN FRONT OF WHERE I WAS WALKING and then just be all: "hello~" XD what a brat. I suppose i married a bi-polar person *le sigh*

Random moments

Standing in the elevator waiting for the doors to close when a first year boy jumped in before he saw me. Then it was an awkward "hello" and I asked him if he was allowed to ride the elevator to which he replied: "Secret!" And when I pointed out there was a camera in the elevator he immediately jumped into the corner and pressed up against the wall like he was a secret agent. XDD

On Teachers' Day, in addition to my obligatory rose for just being a teacher, my "boyfriend" (self proclaimed, third year mediocre english student) ran up TWICE to give me an extra rose, so i got three XD Then later we had this coversation at lunch:

alright, i have obviously not been using this, but i wanted to write down the stuff my students are "inventing" cause they're hilarious and a fb status is not big enough. XD

random post so i can remember their inventions lulz. these are just the highlights though. Italics are my own comments ;D

Class 101 (boys, mid-high level)

Company Name: MarBoRu (dunno if they were meaning to spell the company name correctly, or what XD)
Invention name: Fire Cigarette (have a button)
What does it do?: Click a button, it hold fire at the cigarette. It's simple.
Why is it good?: It's potable (portable?) cigarette and simple.

One group invented a "cloaking spray" which I thought was pretty neat.

Another group invented a "smart black board"...which we kinda already have with the big touch screen tvs in some rooms, but the thing i liked about this one was the picture. Looks like everyone is wearing 3d glasses. teacher too XD

There are a lot of jumping/flying/fast shoes, but one pair stood out with their "Useful Shoes" which allow you to "jump high and not fall down. We can kick very fast and strong" But the thing that stood out the most in my opinion was the picture, which showed someone jumping in the air with what look like rocket shoes, and simultaneously kicking two soccer balls. AND on the other side, someone jumping over another person on the ground who had a huge X over them....XD

That's as far as they got...i'm interested to find out about this one...

This, like other girls classes had a lot of similar things, flying hats, make up hair bands, earring mp3s, smart pencil cases, flying shoes, etc. Nothing that i really had to wonder at XD The boys make up quite strange things sometimes.


Class 105 (Boys, high level)

Company Name: Power Rizer
Invention Name: Delicious eraser (i think this is my favorite invention so far)
What does it do?: We can eat eraser, if we are hungry
Why is it good?: We eat delicious eraser, we are full.

Some classes I had today had some pretty good ones, like a girls' class with a "sleep desk" Apparently in class you just push a button and a pillow comes out on your desk XD Another pair created a "vivation pillow" which would violently vibrate you awake in the morning instead of an alarm. It was good because "you will not wake up late" and had a great picture of someone being violently awakened XDD

Hmmm...so it's November I noticed...

hehehe, kinda let this die, didn't I? Well I knew it would happen. The longer you go without posting the harder it is to start again 'cause you just think of all the things you need to write about and get discouraged. Meh. So perhaps i'll just skip all that and just talk about the now.

Sooo it's November, tomorrow marks the three month mark of being in Korea...on the one hand it seems like it's been a lot longer, on the other like it's been not long at all. Though lately I'm feeling like it's been a lot longer and 3 months sounds way too short. >.> Anyway, things have really settled in now....except that I'm still making my lesson plans for the week sunday night *cough* err...but I have a MUCH better idea now about what works and what doesn't.

This week, part of my lesson involves explaining school in America to the students. They're all ABSOLUTELY amazed when I say that school is from 8AM - 3PM and that there's no school on saturday. Every time there is cries of jealousy. And it gets louder when I add that there aren't any school uniforms in school (except for private school). Another thing I find interesting is when I ask them at first what they know about school in America, almost every time...if not every time they mention School buses. Huh...Somehow/somewhere they know about school buses, but not that there isn't school on saturday or that there aren't school uniforms usually...interesting.

In other news, I've started watching the drama "Baker King Kim Tak Gu"....and by started i mean i'm currently on episode 25/30. And it's awesome...I finally know why everyone was freaking out about it when we first got here XD
Kay that was a random tidbit. I think i'll end this random post for now, and read Harry Potter 7, which I checked out from the tiny English Library at my school ;D Unfortunately HP7 doesn't come out here til a month after it does in the US. Actually I guess it's probably already out in the US isn't it? Dec. 16th here D;
Oh well, more time to actually read the book I guess.

OH but first I wanted to mention that today is the day in Korea where all the high school seniors take their super scary, only once a year, college entrance exams. Everything else in the country seems to start later because of all the crazy traffic from this test...or so I've heard. I do know that my school started an hour later than usual for no reason other than it was college SAT day. My co-teacher also told me that today no airplanes will fly anywhere because the sound from the airplane might disturb the listening portion of the test. O__O If that's not serious, I dunno what is.

One of my other co-teacher's daughter is taking the test today. Apparently she was very nervous last night, I DON'T BLAME HER! I guess they have to get to their test location by...8-something, and the test starts at 8:40AM, which is not very unusual to us Americans who have SAT's, BUT. But. In Korea, the test is over around 6PM!!! :O What is this crazyness? D; No wonder people freak out over this stuff. And it's only ONCE a year, so you only get ONE chance really...though theoretically you can take it again next year, but I don't think that's really a comforting thought because you'd already have graduated high school by then.

So yeah...scary. O__O But I do like coming to work an hour later X3

PS: I've started trying to do this Project 365 business, which is where you try to upload a picture you take every day for a year. So far...I've got 4....but. knowing myself...I DO tend to let things die....lolol, like this blog...
